Tambara Ski Park is located about 180 km from central Tokyo (Shinjuku) via the Kan-Etsu Expressway. With good traffic conditions, it can be accessed in about two and a half hours, making it very convenient. Despite its proximity, its high elevation ensures stable snowfall, and the snow conditions throughout the season are typically soft, dry powder.

The slopes, situated on the southwest-facing side of Mt. Shikamata, a subpeak of Mt. Hotaka in the Oze area, one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, are generally gentle. This makes it an ideal environment for beginners and families with children who are planning to debut on the slopes.

Of course, there are also challenging and varied courses for intermediate to advanced skiers. Additionally, the resort is operated by Tokyu Resorts & Stay, a company with extensive experience in ski resort management, ensuring high-quality facilities on the slopes, a well-equipped ski center at the base area, and excellent restaurant services.
