If you drop something from the lift, call out to the staff. Also remember where it happened. If you lose something at other times, for instance while skiing or snowboarding, enquire at the resort center’s information desk.

Remember the number of the lift pylon where it happened

If you drop something from the lift, remember the number of the lift support pylon closest to where it happened. The photograph shows the 7th of the 11 pylons. This will help you locate your lost item.

Tell the staff at the lift station when you get off the lift

When you get off the lift, tell the staff what you have lost and approximately where it happened in relation to the pylon number.

Don’t panic and jump off the lift

Jumping off the lift to retrieve the lost item is dangerous behavior. The area underneath the lift is outside the professionally managed piste, so if you injure yourself jumping off the lift, rescue could be difficult.

Don’t go back where it happened to retrieve the item yourself

The area underneath the lift is outside the professionally managed piste, so it isn't compressed or prepared for regular use or entry. There are also many dangerous areas including cliffs. If you dropped something, always consult the lift staff and do NOT go and retrieve it yourself.
